Culturally Connected sponsors the International Club at Wilmington Middle School with interest in broadening students' minds to worldly topics.
The club has sponsored activities such as:
* Cinco de Mayo celebration.
* Ethnic foods sampling.
* Hosting guest speakers.
* Pen Pal friendships.
* International Education Week observance.
* Internet Scavenger Hunt - featuring the library's resources.
* Collaborative project with the school's Art Club.
* Partnership with Peace Corps and FLAG Care.
Club members are active participants in other school clubs and have expressed interest in other topics that impact our global community - sports, music, literature, news, travel, celebrities, and more! They look forward to learning about other cultures through field trips that and other activities that provide hands-on, experiential exploration!
