ROBMS International Club members collected spare change during International Education Week in November, 2006. Our mission was to help needy families in an area of Salvador, Brazil - the village of Massaranduba.
Look at the picture above -- the shoreline is full of garbage! The houses are on stilts to keep the people above the water.
In our efforts to help, the ROBMS Academic Boosters Club agreed to match our collected funds, and we were able to offer a generous sum for those in need just before Christmas. FLAG Care delivered food baskets on December 23rd, and put smiles on many faces! See pictures and descriptions of food kit ingredients at the FLAG Care website.
