In preparing for their adventure, remember that what participants bring, they must be able to carry -- and keep with them -- while on campus and until they reach their next destination. Each participant will have different specific needs and preferences, but most will find our list helpful. Suggested items will be added or deleted as we find them worthy of recommendation.
STUDENTS SHOULD BRING:

* American English/native language Dictionary.
* Bed & Bath linens - sheets, towel(s), washcloth.
* Personal toiletries.
* Camera (digital with memory card recommended).
* Sunscreen.
* Sunglasses.
* Bathing suit, beach towel, & pool shoes (summer program).
* Winter boots, scarves, mittens, warm jacket (winter program).
* Comfortable walking shoes.
* Stationary and writing utensils.
* Items needed to participate in extra-curricular courses.
* Traveler's checks or money card for souvenirs and incidentals.
* A Positive Attitude!

*** Participants should NOT bring large amounts of cash! We advise that cell phones, iPods and MP3 players
are brought at the participants' own risk and discretion. NONE of these items will be allowed in the
classrooms or learning setting.
Please note: Phone cards will be available for purchase on the Wilmington College campus. A post office is also on-site there and within close and easy distance to all student activities during the summer. Phone and Mail arrangements can be made at the JOY Education Center. Other host schools will provide other arrangements according to their availability.
