Summer ESL programs will be on the Wilmington College campus (http://www.wilmington.edu) - choice of a unique international student population. Educational facilities, cafeteria, residence halls, bookstore, postal office, and recreational areas are all found on campus grounds. The Boyd Cultural Arts Center is an amazing, new facility opened in 2005, highlighting the prominent theater, musical, and physical arts departments. A YMCA is shared between the college and the public. It's no wonder Wilmington College recently received a "Best Colleges" ranking by the U.S. News & World Report!
Winter ESL Programs will be at the Joy Education Center in Clarksville, Ohio near Wilmington (http://www.joec.org). JOY is host to many youth and adult groups with emphasis on experiential learning. Their campus includes a climbing wall and resource center. Several of their activities encourage students to take part in exploration of their beautiful grounds. JOY's staff is diverse - a handful have taken part in international exchnage programs and are sensitive to cultural needs.
Programs taking place during the US school year are customized to student preference based on established agreements with host schools and communities within an hour of Wilmington, Ohio.

Other specifics - Classes will be held in comfortable, college-style classrooms - most with daily computer access. Particpants will have roommates, sharing bathroom facilities, with accommodation settings reserved especially for your interest. Bedding linens can be provided, but it is recommended that students plan on bringing their own linens. A full, daily meal plan will focus on American food choices.
