Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET) - Governs cultural/educational exchange organizations given authorization to issue J-1 and F-1 student visitor visas. Typically, they offer quality programming for high school students in the United States and partner with several international countries.
Experiences available will range from short-term excursions of a few weeks to semester and academic year programs.
Culturally Connected staff have been personally involved with a handful of programs given full listing on the CSIET Advisory List - a designation that brings credibility.
Many years in the industry brings familiarity with most of the organizations, and our staff can make recommendations on which listed program can offer the right experience for you and your family!
American host families are volunteers and receive a tax deduction for their months of service in exploring a different culture. For more information, contact the director.
